Blooming Season of Weigela Shrub
The different varieties of Weigela shrubs bloom during the summer months but can bloom as early as mid-spring. Weigela shrubs are capable of producing a second bloom too, towards the end of the season when the initial flush of blooms fades.
Height of Weigela Shrubs
Most Weigela shrubs will only grow to four or five feet high and across, but they have been known to grow as tall as ten feet high.
Weigela shrubs prefer wet, well-draining soil that isn't allowed to retain any water around the roots.
Sun or Shade
Weigela shrubs need to be grown in full sun, and those that have a great combination of watering and sun can produce that second bloom.
