We ship all plants usps priority mail. They arrive to most locations within 2-3 days. We package all plants to retain moisture to up to 10 days in transit. All plants ships from our warehouses in Tennessee. All plants are grown and shipped from out Altamont (zip) 37301 location. We do drop ship for re-sellers also for those wanting to resell our plants.
How We Protect Your Plants For Transit
All plants are dug and immediately taken to our warehouse and tera-sorb moisture retention gel is applied to the roots and then wrapped in plastic to retain superior moisture for transit. They are placed in corogated cardboard shipping boxes for protection when shipped
Upon Receipt Of Your Plants
Upon receipt of your plants, unpack and unwrap the roots and mist with water. Plant within 24-48 hours. If you can not plant within this time frame, put your plants in a cool location (ex- basement, garage or cellar) and water the roots daily. Cover them back up with the plastic so they will not dry out until you can plant them. After planted, water every evening after the sun goes down for 5 days.

Hardy Planting Zone- The suitable hardy planting zone recommended for silky dogwoods is zones 3 through 9.
Bloom Season- This shrub first blooms in late May/early June.
Bloom Color- The leaves bloom as a dark green color. Yellowish-white flowers bloom in late May/early June and then turn into blue colored berries in September.
Height and Maturity- When fully matured, Silky dogwoods can grow anywhere from 6 to 10 feet tall and spread from 6 to 9 feet.
Soil Type Preferred- They are adaptable to wet or dry soil, but well-drained and moist soil is preferred. Dogwood is known to tolerate alkaline soil but does better in slightly acidic conditions.
Sun or Shade- This plant can do well in moderate sunlight, but is usually found in shaded or partially shaded areas.

In the fall, winter, and early spring, the twigs are a deep red color and usually left bare to compliment the autumn season and are very visible, even in snowy conditions.
Silky dogwoods require the most attention in the early stages of growth as they will require watering regularly. Once the roots have been established, the plant does not require much maintenance. The soil does not require fertilizer and can be kept cool and moist with a few inches of mulch layered on top. This plant is a wonderful choice to round out your yard or garden.
