Sandbar Willow Live Stakes is a beautiful tree known for its long flowering branches that move gracefully with the wind.

Sandbar Willow Live Stakes moderate growing and will take many years to get to full maturity. Sandbar Willow can grow forty feet high when fully grown, making it a smaller tree than most. The branches of Sandbar Willow Live Stakes grow thick and are covered in small green leaves that make it a privacy fence. It is grey and smooth when young, however as the Sandbar Willow Live Stakes ages the bark may flake off. The limbs are long and drooping. This tree flowers in the springtime with small blooms known as catkins. These catkins allow for the tree to pollinate via wind, not needing animals to pollinate the flowers. The male flowers are erect and yellow, while the female flower is white and usually round.

The Sandbar Willow can be found growing excessively near lakes, rivers, and streams.

This tree needs lots of water to survive and to grow healthy. When not grown near a large water source this tree needs lots of waterings to keep it healthy. These trees have an exceptional ability to grow in sandy soils where other plants cannot grow efficiently. This tree can grow in many other soil types as well.
