Solomons Plume – Smilacina Racemosa

Solomons Plume is a great plant to choose for accenting and highlighting others in the landscape.  It will have small white blooms during the summer months that will sit high up on the end of the stem.  It can grow in a variety of soils from sandy and clay like to moist and well drained.  The botanical name for this perennial is Smilacina Racemosa and will be up to three feet in height in the best of conditions.  Optimal results will occur in growth zones three through eight.  The leaves are big and a medium green color while the blooms are tiny.
