Deciduous Trees come in a wide variety – different sizes, shapes, forms, colors and textures. Deciduous trees loose their leaves in the fall, go dormant in the winter, and re-grow their leaves in the spring. These trees are an integral part of our landscapes, providing shade, shelter, color, fragrance and overall beauty. You are probably not far from a deciduous tree as you read this.
Deciduous trees like maples or oaks transform into a brilliant palette of reds, oranges, yellows and purples in the fall. New England is known for it’s fall color, as there are large populations of maples and birch, which all change color at the same time.
Looking for fall color? Check out the Improved Sugar Maple, a great smaller tree. It’s sap can be used to create maple syrup.
