Upon Receipt Of Your Plants
Upon receipt of your plants, unpack and unwrap the roots and mist with water. Plant within 24-48 hours. If you can not plant within this time frame, put your plants in a cool location (ex- basement, garage or cellar) and water the roots daily. Cover them back up with the plastic so they will not dry out until you can plant them. After planted, water every evening after the sun goes down for 5 days.

The Pee Wee Hydrangea, also known as the Oakleaf hydrangea, is a shrub that grows about three feet tall and three feet wide.
The plant can tolerate shade but also thrives in full and partial sunlight. Pee Wee hydrangeas are suitable for hardiness zone 3-9. This plant can tolerate average and moist soil and weather conditions. It's important to water the plant often to encourage healthy development.
These shrubs are compact and have pretty, spiky flowers that turn from white to pink. The flowers have a pleasant aroma and start to take on a pink color during the summer season. The foliage is a rich green hue, turns slightly gray in spring, and changes to a brick red color in the fall. The bark has a papery consistency. It's best to plant the shrubs in groups for ornamental purposes.
Pee Wee Shrubs are deciduous and spread upright.
They will stand apart from other plants in the yard due to their thin foliage and coarse texture. The plants are easy to care for and require little maintenance. It's best to prune the plants near the end of winter since the extremely cold part of the season has likely passed. It's best to plant mulch around the shrub to protect it during winter. Even though the Pee Wee grows slowly, the lifespan of the plant is about 30 years. The shrub doesn't pose many problems -- it is resistant to most diseases and rot. Pee Wee Shrubs can also be planted in pots. In a "spiller-thriller-filler" potted plant combination, the Pee Wee Shrub is the "thriller" and should be planted in the middle of the pot. If you're using a pot or container to grow Pee Wee Hydrangeas, you may need to water them more often than you would if the plants were in the yard or garden.
