Description

Fast-growing trees are a great landscaping investment

Many trees take several years to grow to the point where they reach maturity and begin growing flower blooms and a good crown of foliage. When you add a variety of fast-growing trees to the garden, you are creating the base for your entire landscape plan.

If you are interested in adding fast-growing trees to your landscaping, consider these planting guidelines before making a decision.

Fast Growing Tree Description

Fast-growing trees are just as vibrant and colorful as slow-growing trees. Because there are so many types of trees that fall into this category, fast-growing trees can be tall and conical, flowering trees, or short and round trees. It depends on the variety that you plant for your hardy zone.

Hardy Zone of Fast Growing Trees

Fast-growing trees are capable of growing in hardy zones 4-10, with some even being able to grow successfully in growing zone two.

Bloom Season of Fast Growing Trees

Fast-growing trees that do produce flowering blooms tend to bloom early in the growing season from May to June.

Bloom Season Color

Fast-growing trees include many varieties of flowering trees, and they include blooms of all different colors. Everything from yellow to white to pink blooms can be found in fast-growing trees.

Height at Maturity

Fast-growing trees are capable of growing to over thirty feet tall when they reach maturity.

Soil Type Preferred by Fast Growing Trees

Fast-growing trees prefer well-drained, moist soil that is not compact and free of clay.

Sun or Shade Preferences

Fast-growing trees require full to partial sun to thrive and grow as fast as they are intended to.
