Water Plants and Grasses

Water plants and grasses are both great plants if a gardener or homeowner is looking for a natural look. Flowers and grasses are easy to care for and maintain as long as the conditions are right for them to grow and flourish.

Water plants are used to add to personal and private water gardens on a lawn. These plants can come in lots of varieties. Some of them will provide beautiful flowering blooms to be enjoyed, and some will supply beautiful green color to the area. Grasses will give a great natural look when added to a natural area and will also help with soil erosion problems in areas and around lakes, ponds, rivers and creek beds.

Some great water plants are the lily pad, bull tongue, duck potato and river cane. Lily pads and bull tongues will provide beautiful flowers when it is mature. These are excellent water plants and will provide shelter to some of the aquatic animals and will also supply a food source to them and some wildlife.
